No credit card required. The super simple Lendio process is an easy, transparent way to comparison shop for a loan, saving your business time and money. I was once a Wave user and consultant. Its limits were many, support was bad and credits card processing was often impossible. The Chelsea Krause 4.5 star rating is very misleading without an equally prominent user rating, which is around 2.0 stars. I will compile this rating exactly on request. This big difference, coupled with many excellent reasons, should make any reviewer correct their rating.

Pretty intuitive product and pricing friendly for business owners. Granted, it adds an extra step to the process, but if the two sources of income need to be categorized differently , it’s a handy feature.
Is Wave Accounting safe?

Plus, it will enable you to merge transactions even when the amounts don’t match initially. Regarding invoice reconciliation, you can link a Wave invoice to an imported statement using Wave’s “Merge” feature. I’d recommend this over deleting the entry (for one thing, you’ll get to keep the description https://www.beaxy.com/ fields from both). In fact, you cannot fully sign up for it until after you have received a credit card payment and are already waiting to receive your money. I agree on the surprise for the lack of cash accounting and the categorization being “dumb,” and do wish they’d fix those.
Do not waste your time with Wave if this is what your looking for! Invoices printed in my office are just fine but to print in the field you have to export them as a PDF to yourself then print that!
However, the ads lock up both of my computers . I feel I have no choice but to switch to QuickBooks. but such bad support! — my transactions have stopped being listed on the journal entry for 2 weeks now, and I still cannot get anyone to solve it.
You may need to contact Wave’s customer support to see if you are logged in correctly, as they’d be able to help fix the issue. Thank you for sharing this. Wave’s cash-basis accounting allows users to view cash-basis reports only. I’ll be sure to wave accounting login clarify this in the review. My rating is only concerning mobility of Wave. Was led to believe I could generate invoices in the field printing hard copies for my clients to sign upon completion of work but that is not possible with this software!

Sometimes when you try to hit 2 birds with one stone you miss them both!!! So one bird one stone, two birds two stones. I can no longer upload bank statements from the bank in any of the formats Wave accepts. I have tried downloading bank statements from our bank using Money, Quickbooks, Quicken and csv formats. Each time I try to upload them into Wave I get an error message that says “Something went wrong with your file upload. So I tried again using all formats including the csv format and got the same error message as I have shown above.
Wonder what I should use. I hate hate hate doing accounting stuff. I don’t mind plugging in the numbers and pulling up charts and stuff. I want it done for me. I want to create things and sell things and enjoy my business.
I have 0 employees and I’m trying to start a business. I tried using excel but, I feel like I need to be an accountant to do that. Even the directions https://topcoinsmarket.io/ are useless to me. Don’t get it. So as you can see book keeping stuff is so not my strong suit. Can u please advise. Great review.
It won’t get you to mastery of the basics, but it will get you to an understanding of the basics, and that’s a good place to start. There’s also “How To Choose Accounting Software” which I would highly recommend reading if you have any doubts at all about your software choice. I originally commented and my major complaint was Wave’s terrible customer service. https://tokenexus.com/ However, since then Wave has stepped up and really made right of the situation. One of their heads of customer success reached out to me and we’ve finally sorted out the entire ordeal. Invoicing is great and a quick way to collect money from clients. We also use their software for reconciling our books and managing our projections and cashflows.
I get the same loopy email customer support. extremely frustrating. Been using it since years, and seen the gradual improvements. It’s a great tool for freelancers with the usual pricing. Finally also some chat support available. What annoys me is their lame transfer – only on business days! Means that you receive a payment on Thursday and it is being transferred to your account on Tuesday late evening. This is a point where they do not seem to be able to move their a$$.
Unfortunately the invoice you end up with is very cartoonish and not something I would ever allow a client to sign . Before implementing this in the field it seemed to be a decent product, just not for me and what we do out in the field. Unfortunately going back to handwritten work tickets to be signed then re-generated as an invoice later in my office with Quickbooks. Maybe just a case of hopes being too high!
Expenses And Receipts Through Wave Accounting
Somehow, the pay by credit card feature was “turned on”. I NEVER selected that option nor signed up for it.
- It includes both web and mobile access and starts at a very low $5 per month for a basic version that includes invoices, estimates, payments, mileage, and time tracking.
- The company generates revenue from its credit card processing, payroll, and bookkeeping services and uses this revenue to keep the software completely free.
- Wave isn’t really designed for the kind of volume you’re talking about, and the time-saving features of a more advanced program will likely pay for themselves pretty quickly.
- Wave “has always been and always will be free,” a structure that the company plans to maintain following its acquisition by H&R Block.
- You can cancel your account at any time.
Some reviewers also want project accounting so they can individually track revenue and expenses for various events or projects. Despite this, people were pleased with how easy it was to set up and use Wave, and said the software is very intuitive and quick to learn. The support team was also praised for responding to issues quickly and comprehensively. Wave also has a dedicated section on their website called Wave University.
